{GLAMOUR GIRL, HOW I LOVE THEE...}
Another New York Fashion Week has come and gone, and in spite of the frigid temperatures, the New York fashion scene was out in force. Neither rain, nor snow, nor record breaking low temps can keep fashionistas down! (Except for me...I love fashion but I love feeling my fingers and toes more. I'll catch you in the fall, Fashion Week!)
Now, most critics would not agree with my love of all things shiny, fluffy, furry and sparkly when it comes to fashion...especially runway fashion. They would say my fashion palette is not refined enough to appreciate the beauty of cut and simplicity. That if I really understood fashion, I would know that the art of restraint is quite difficult and something to be truly appreciated.
{Yawn...I took that class in college too.}
Whatever! I want to be entertained!
Pile on the sequins, crystals, and feathers. Give that model some sky high heels, a little too much makeup and add a hat! I want fashion!!! If I want practical, I'll go look in my own closet!
Well, the designers heard my plea this season, and glamour is back in a big way for fall... Runways glittered with intricate beadwork, embroidery, lace, fur and feathers, and it was positively dreamy.
