{for little ladybugs...}
Happy New Year! We are finally back in New York and back to work. (Well...trying anyway. After a week on the west coast, jet lag has me feeling a little loopy.)
I just wanted to take a quick minute and share a few shots from a recent commission. A rather adorable one, I might add...
I was super excited when I received a request to make two monogramed necklaces for two little girls. The sisters, three and five years old, are quite the fashionistas, so in spite of the necklace size, I had a big job to do.
We kept the overall idea simple and made the necklaces from 14kt gold filled chains, hand embossed charms, and tiny magnetic clasps (for an easier on and off experience--nothing makes a little fashionista madder than a bunch of fuss!).
The only request: Miss B likes purple and Miss C likes pink...and don't get them confused! Like I said, these little ladies know what they like, and they absolutely have their own styles.
We used a basic typewriter font for the monogrammed charms to add a modern edge, and for the finishing touch, we embossed a second charm with a ladybug...their shared nickname.
I hope the lovely little ladybugs are enjoying their necklaces. They were so much fun to make!
xo...
