A New Year, A Fresh Start

New Year's Day in Panama City Beach, Florida

Hap-Hap-Happy New Year!!!

I hope each and every one of you enjoyed a merry and bright holiday!  As much fun as our holiday was, I am so excited to be back home and ready to make the most out of 2016!  But before I get busy, I need to get seriously organized.  The only way I know to combat the chaos of the everyday is to write it all down...get it all out of my head (where it will inevitably be lost forever) and onto paper.  I like the sense of accomplishment I feel when I cross things off of a list, even if they are small tasks like remembering to take my vitamins for once...

I am constantly searching for the perfect to-do list or daily planner, and I have yet to find one that really suits me.  By the end of every year I have at least three that I have only partially used and have reverted to using scrap paper from my sketchbook to write my daily lists.  This year I decided to break the chain and design my own planner sheet.  So far, it's working like a gem!

For me, the most important thing is to write everything down.  Everything!  (Like I said: out of the head and onto the paper.)  In that spirit, I made spaces for everything, including areas to track my own health goals like water intake and exercise, which are somedays the hardest things to remember.  I printed a bunch, stuck them on a clipboard, and BAAM! I'm in business!  I'm feeling better about the year ahead already!

{This is what it looks like...}

If you're looking for a new way to stay organized, try making your own organizer like me.  Who's to say that the store bought ones are actually better anyhow?  The people at the printing company don't have a clue about your day!  And if designing is really not your thing, I'll share mine with you!  Simply click on the image, download it, print it out, and you're ready to go! Put it in a pretty binder with a couple of folders and you've got a fancy pants planner that's one of a kind.

{Just like you, lady bird.}

Happy New Year!

p.s....be sure to check your printer settings and do a test copy before printing enough for the entire year!  If the image is looking too large or too small in the preview pane, choose "scale to fit" or "fill entire page" before printing.  xo...ki
